Posting from CREAF Thread - short recommendation on QNTM

"Off topic:Jon,Avid came out with a short recommendation on QNTM
tonight:Sell Close below 26.1/2 Target 21.1/4 Stop 28.1/2"

Who's Avid?.

Michael Kell (spelling?, John Hancock Mutual Funds was on CNNfn's Digital Jam. He was on to discuss the DELL earnings surprise and its effect on the PC makers. At the start of the discussion he mentioned three fund holdings (DELL, CPQ & QNTM). He fielded a call from a listener asking about the health (or lack thereof) in the DD sector. He noted that it was once thought the Oligopoly of four major players (IBM, WD, SEG & QNTM) who control 79% of the market could better control prices (NOT). The fact is that smaller players with little profitability motivations could undercut the major players and the PC makers are more than willing to take the ride. He stated that WDC and SEG was "dead money" over the next 6 to 9 months. QNTM was the best positioned (no buy recommendation given) although they obviously have QNTM holdings.
