How about Proctor and Gamble? Afterall networks are getting to be
comodities <VBG>

Seriously, one reason IBM could be interested is that ASND is positioning
to be big in VPNs, VoIP/FR/ATM and also SNA connectivity (all info from
News Only).

These are areas that could affect IBM revenue flow in the future. It
would make good sense strategically for IBM to want to be a player in how
future data/voice moves in VPNs between remote corporate sites and mainframes.
