I never thought much of the energy crisis that supposedly would devoir the world

Imperatives leads to solutions

China has working plan to exploit "fire ice / burning ice" within 15 years by land (Tibet, qinghai, northeast) and within 30 years by sea. Japan may mine the sea earlier.

Between shale gas, nuke, methane this, solar that, and conservation / rationalization, Something shall work out, in the nick of scratching time. There is always great big empty Siberia.

Development just takes more paper money to force march otherwise idle capital and lazy savings.

Recommendation: gold is a methane hydrate play :0)
