There's a little bit of time elapse between turn of 20th century & 21rst in many ways different worlds (& always stays the same ) that Hitler was definitely a pure nationalist not so much unlike the more ancient Israelites that also sought their pure kingdom/nation as well . That you mention Islam sparks the thought how often we hear the phrase /refrences to the "nation of Islam " . This all ties in very well with that long held tribal grouping reinforced by custom, lore, legend , myths , culture , geography , religion & race . This was always with us humans from distant beginnings as its seen with many other troupe or tribe aniamals that do their territorial thing . There's many sides to what goes into defining all of this , the semantics involved with what is "true" this or that but certainly there are examples of militant Christianity that were for the time as devasting in their ideology of war & aggression as our German fanatic . So who knows , these definitions have changed thru time anyways, certainly the world has changed since 1920's where one is born & raised in a belief system generally a skin you wore for life . You go back just to the 1920's here in the US & the religious schisms were incredibly dirty & vehement tied into politics , doesnt take much study to see all that went on then , up into the 1950s after WWII . Been going on a long long time .

Back to Islam they found notes written by Osama where he's suggesting to his cohorts they needed to change names & trying to come up with new one for Al Qaeda . The people behind Dubya as mouthpiece were so effective at branding that was effectively so damaging al Qaeda's image . Bin Laden knows its maybe time for a name change . Just can't remember what he came up with but trust me Obama is alot brighter than Osama any day , these names Osama came up with were just totally lame . The usual boyhood religious fanatic stuff , like the One Nation of Islam , The One World of Islam Group , you know something that would really reel them in . But here you have that same nationalism being played out in the imaginations of those who think they have to fufill some need , creed to supercede ! And like Hitler they all think for their time they are doing the righteous "God Thing" building the holy , pure kingdom or nation .
