“while he had no clue as to the merits or shortcomings of ID or Darwin's theory because he understands neither.” That is very obvious. Him and his ilk need to demonise Darwin because if Evolution is a fact (and it has been established just as well as the fact that the earth circles the sun), then EVERYTHING in his book of fairy tales is at the bottom of a deep lake. For most Christians, ID is simply a way of sanitizing or preserving their Christian superstition. And they fail to see that it does nothing to overcome the absurdities, contradictions, and inanities which stuff their tribal histories and superstitions.
