I have had this problem with Waterhouse for years. A few points: 1.The "composite quote" often has no relation to the quotes at the primary exchange. It is not the "best bid" or "best ask". It is not even the closest spread. It just makes no sense at all. 2.Brokers you talk to are not always well informed about the intricacies of option quotes. 3. Often times if you bring up these problems to your local branch they resent the fact that you may know more than they do and are not very nice about it. Waterhouse is good until you are dissatisfied with something. Joe
