Redneck and his wife and hound were driving along in their pickup truck. The hound suddenly jumped up and starts howling.

Redneck fixes a look on the hound and quietly says "that's one". The hound slinks back down. A little while later the hound jumps up again and starts howling. Redneck looks at the hound and says "that's two." The hound slinks back down. A while later the hound jumps up and starts howling. The redneck grabs the dog by the scruff of the neck and hurls him out the window.

The wife looks over at the redneck and hollers, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!!!!"

The redneck fixes a look on her and quietly says "That's one".

Cabletron at fresh low after DEC announcement

NEW YORK, Nov 25 (Reuters) - Cabletron Systems Inc (NYSE:CS - news)
shares slipped to a low unseen since the summer of 1995
after the
company's announcement Tuesday of a networking partnership with
Digital Equipment Corp (NYSE:DEC - news), traders said.

In early New York Stock Exchange trade, Cabletron shares were off 1/4
to 24-1/2, a level last notched in August 1995, while DEC fell 7/16
to 49-3/8.

As part of the agreement, Cabletron will acquire DEC's computer
network product business for about $430 million in cash, stock and
product credits.

Citing the deal, J.P. Morgan downgraded Cabletron to market performer from buy.

"We believe that DEC's (networking) business is a deteriotating one
and that it lessens the possibility for upside surprises over the
next four quarters. Management's ability to improve the company's
short-term growth rates were our primary reasons for having a buy
recommendation on shares of Cabletron and we now believe that the
DEC acquisition may hinder short-term plans," according to the J.P. Morgan research.

>>infinite number of rednecks riding in an infinite number of pickup trucks fire and infinite number of shotgun rounds at an infinite number of highway signs...<<

JEF, I just talked to my son, and he told me that he and a buddy went to Sand Dune National Park (?) for the weekend and when they got there, it looked like a redneck convention. Pickups, plaid flannel shirts, beer cans, rebel flags, baseball caps with "Bud" on them....They got out of the car walked around for about 5 minutes and left...<edit>BTW, SI sure seems screwed up today. bp

<<NOT A ONE! >>

Jeff on Wheel of Fortune: I wanna BY A O!

WRONG! Should be BY AN OWE. Therefore, original exclamation should be uttered as: NOT AN ONE!
