Nope. It means many people are dropping out of the work force, because Labor Participation is plummeting. That is the major cause of the declining Unemployment Rate. If you understand that, then you must understand that we are in deep shit.

BTW, the Recession call is still on. Lakshman Achuthan from ECRI is pointing out the same thing I've been pointing out to you guys, which is that GDP is not really the leading indicator. GDP growth isn't the thing you look at to see where we are headed, but rather you need to look at National Income. That has rolled over and is in recessionary territory. In fact, the National Income level has fallen to the point where in the last 10 recessions, the recession had already started by the time National Income reached these low levels. That is a POWERFUL LEADING indicator.
