GZ, thus far the market is loudly saying sell in May. The last presidential election was in 2008, another good time to sell in May. I think we go much lower, not sure when to fill gaps in the 900s and 800s. Politically and economically we face 2 issues, the biggest of which is the welfare state/bash the rich mentality of much of Europe and also the US. It could get to the point where default is less of an issue than appeasing the masses, leading to financial collapse. The second issue is that Obama, by his actions, has turned Wall Street against him leading to a market collapse similar to '08 and an election which boots out the incumbent.
