I don't doubt it. China has a golden opportunity to rise to the top of the heap. However, they still haven't gotten the message yet that to do that, they need to unleash their people through a Democratic government, as well as a Democratic economy. They've tasted the appetizer, but they haven't decided to eat the meal. If they do decide to go full Democratic with all that entails to their institutions top to bottom, then the US is going to have one hell of a competitor on our hands. Then Chinese will eventually overtake English as the # 1 language to learn.
