Well it seems that all is repeating itself, and the SEC and other regulators just enjoy their monthly pay and morning coffee at the office - investors- well they can get lost as far as most regulators are concerned. Yes they do some enforcement action that makes the evening news to justify their pay, otherwise they will tell you “buyer beware” or do not invest in the stock market if you are not proficient in accounting and do not have the penchant talent to identify crocks.
