these assumptions are probably wrong. they are enabled by out of control egos and may have enough momentum to see them into the next curve...but after that....the wrongness in the assumptions will begin to emerge as clarity within those expected to buy the assumptions turn into sellers of these same assumptions.

Elmat

I dont agree for once
Governement which now rules my country wasnt elected according to my whish am i then excempt of it wrong doings ?

Even beter one could argue we are one family , but i one member commits murder does evry member need to pay ?

We are past imo that governements are real democraties they get a life of their own

Remember hitler was elected democraticaly should we therefore send all germans to the war tribunal ?

Take care

But i dont think i should pay for what bankster did wrong in my country so i ve some stake in this discussion

Because they were involved.

So you're making the case for the US gov't bailout of GM now?

Alternative energy companies, like Solyndra, now deserve to get bailed out because they borrowed money from the DOE and wasted it, eventually going Bankrupt?

Why are banks different than other companies that pander to gov't intervention.. Just curious to understand the difference.

We have regional banks in my area that didn't play in the derivatives arena. They have quite a bit of capital as well. They hold their loan portfolios, instead of selling them off in CDO, CLOs..

But they don't receive the same kind of gov't support as the TBTF bankers do..
