I agree with what you posted. Michael Dell gets handled/fed so gently it is pathetic. It also seems the CPQ has NOT RECIEVED CREDIT for all its gains in market share, earnings, revenues, buyouts, innovations etc.. but has been the brunt of or at a minimum in the front of every hiccup/rumor/falacy for anything to do with techs or pcs. The only upside gains CPQ gets is when the CFO Mason makes strong statements. Yet, this too, has its downside in that the analysts thn raise the estimates for CPQ...which when met or slightly beaten become an OK rather than WOW ! WHERE IS THE DESERVED RESPECT ?? Will it come ??

Wrong! CPQ's margins on low cost PC's are about 60 % of their average margin. Check it out on their financials.

brain, here's the exact margins on low cost. 207.183.153.206 what Jim is missing is they make 20% on the 799 pc.. then the person buys a 17"monitor that they make 40% on or 15" monitor they make 40% on.. Jim never was good with reality..he forgot the monitor. He put a pc together for me once and left off the power supply the power cord and even the operating system and software and he put a k6 chip in it too boot. I kept asking him what he left off and he couldn't figure it out.<ggg> be nice Jim..this is the truth..admit it.
