I think the gay issue for Obama is mostly about campaign contributions.

That and a distraction from yesterday's bad election news.

I think Obama hurried the gay issue "decision" from just before the election, to now, because they were trying to prevent more damage from the leaks coming from the CIA and the under cover wantabe bomber.....
