Two interesting points about those numbers. A large chunk of those pro-amendment votes were black fundamentalists, who usually vote Democratic. It will be interesting to see how many of them vote Obama this fall, and how many stay home, because it's an 'Old Testament Hot Button Issue' for them. Lots of those folks in another swing state, Virginia, too. Plus, that's a fairly big turnout for a primary election here. Which was the whole point of that stupid amendment : To get the conservatives off the sofa and into the voting booth. If Obama wins NC this fall, I'll buy your lunch :)
