I don't like anything we get from the Government. But dealing with what we will have available to us for the rest of our lives, I would personally go with an HMO where all Doctors are employees. I would bet that this would be the model we would end up with in an open system, but we will never know.

The one I have here, Kaiser, is probably one of the best in the country. We might have some better Doctors as specialists if we were on the mainland, it limits our choice over here. But that is just a guess. I have been in it over seven years now, with a lot of personal experience plus seeing how it worked, good and bad, for friends. All in all, I think it's the future of medicine.

In any case, the Government loves it, so get used to it. :>)
