"I feel it is important that it stays above 26 or the downward trend will be reconfirmed."
My feeling (thought? what's that) is that the drive stocks will continue to be hit in December. Both tax selling and the general negative tone of the past few weeks will continue to slam them to absurb depths. Everyone is sick of them, calling them dead or worse money, everything going to hell in a handbasket.

But that should set up a good January, at least if the market as a whole and tech stocks in particular are at least flat. I won't say the B.O. words though, out of respect for the distressed (incl. me, unhappily--great gains drizzling down the tube; oh well, tomorrow is another day, and this too shall pass--let's see how many cliches I can string together in one post).

I think (IMO: in my opinion) that we should look at the volume now.

And it tells me that the stock is about to rebound
but may retest 26.13-26.25 first.

I would be very happy if the stock goes back to that point
in less than yesterdays' volume. That would reconfirm the uptrend
since july 96 and gives a good support for the coming weeks.

This is not a reccommendation to buy since I have lost
so much money on paper on QNTM.

I wish, I could buy more at that point...but...no $$ left.

Richard

I think QNTM's movement has nothing to do with QNTM, but everything to do with its high volatility in the past and the general market problems. I am reaccumulating big time here after doing some trading over the last couple days ... closing out my short positions on YHOO and Micron, maybe even AMZN. I think at this point, I feel that the Asian situation will have less impact and stocks will start trading on domestic/fundamental issues after this week.

In any case, QNTM will trade much higher next year. I'm satisfied with the research I've done. So consider my 5000 shares off the market until QNTM goes above 35.
