Obama ignores gay marriage issue on Saturday
as Romney surges ahead

First poll says voters like the idea. Looking deeper
at final numbers tells a different story.

President Barack Obama avoided the issue of gay marriage on Saturday, just a day after a new Gallup poll revealed that his decision to back same-sex unions will likely hurt him in November. The poll, conducted on May 10, is the first publicized national survey following the president’s ABC News interview with “Good Morning America” co-host Robin Roberts on Wednesday. It revealed that 51 percent of Americans approve of President Obama’s announcement, while 45 percent disapprove. But among survey respondents who said the president’s decision would sway their vote in November, the news was considerably more negative

A Rasmussen Reports tracking poll shows that Republican rival Mitt Romney, who affirmed on Saturday that he believes marriage is exclusively the domain of heterosexual couples, now leads the president by an eight-point margin.

The Average White Guy Vote

(kenny, you may substitute this headline, "Humiliating crushing defeat for Muslim Obama this November"

According to Gallup's latest battleground numbers, Obama's main electoral strengths are with voters who are nonwhite, nonreligious, single or postgraduates. Republican Mitt Romney's strength is with white voters, particularly men, those who are religious, and those who are 30 or older.

Romney leads Obama with white male and female voters and does significantly better among men, 59 percent to 32 percent.

Among white women, Romney leads by nine points, 50 percent to 41 percent.

"It seems to me that Obama is intent on punishing anyone who is employed with a job over minimum wage," Guy said. "In the last three years, I've seen my spendable income drop, my cost for health-care insurance go up, and my benefits go down.

"Three years ago the question was, 'Are you better off now than when Bush took office?' Most of us weren't. But am I better off today than when Obama took office?"

His answer is simple: "No."

Why do you say this? This is news to everyone else. Where do you get your facts on which to base your statements?

Obviously you're still living in a deceptive liberal bubble, Ken. It's not Romney whose approval rating fell 8 points within past 48hrs--that is in fact Obama. The community with which he pretends to have strongest links are the first ones to admit they find B.O. far more radical than first advertized.

Romney is still on the defensive.

I think Romney should do more of these packed house garage events, where he doesn't even know if both people are going to vote for him or what they will say to the press.

How dumb and arrogant can those rich people get.

OOPS.............sorry...........my mistake

This MORON is beyond dumb and being helped, even with the socialist press.

Hopefully, Romney will be defending his lead through the election, not just now.
