Well, I don't know what their traffic load has been of late, but I have noticed slowness. Today seems no better even after this change. I hope they got a good deal. And I hope they haven't lost their domain name in the process. Maybe the DNS's have to catch up.

I don't think Unicom is a backbone provider, (or did you mean web hosting?) after looking at this I'm not sure what SI is using them for. Today is painfully slow for me using SI. I went and checked out a bunch of normally very busy sites and for the most part everything is moving along fine.
