Actually if you go to a certified financial planner they will tell you since we live to be so much older you need a greater percent of your assets in equities vs past norms and rules of thumb..

Fixed income is so low and inflation although modest - greater than 10 year treasuries - there is a need for equities.

I believe this is the underlying demand for blue chip dividend paying stocks.

It will all add up to more playes entering the stock market.

What we need is a fast price increase and watch the greed create an asset allocation shift.

This is a good thing.
