We're talking past one another here. My premise is that out of wedlock births are increasing across all racial classes. There's no disputing that statistically. One can dispute why that it is.

We are not talking past each other. We are talking about two different issues. Having a child out of wedlock is one thing; being on welfare is another. Sometimes there is overlap but many women who have a child out of wedlock do not go on welfare. Frequently there is a man in the picture even if they are not married. They tend to be older; more established financially.

And I'm saying a welfare check is big part of that. Do you dispute that? That state economic support of out wedlock children is part of the reason for out of wedlock birth's? If so, tell me why.

Yes, I dispute that.............young teen blacks get pregnant out of ignorance and romanticizing; lack of parental guidance........and not because they want a welfare check.

Whites in this country work overtime trying to disavow any responsibility for what happens in the black community. Unfortunately, we are all connected and will be til the end of time.

I really don't think any mom concieves a baby calculating the welfare check beforehand. I don't think ANY single mom getting AFDC thinks she has it easy. She doesn't. She can't make it on that alone.
