Aw, come on. I've cited pink slime already, but it's the exact opposite of test tube meat- it snuck in because it was cheap to produce. And it was more or less vanquished after a little bad publicity. I'm sorry to be belaboring pedantic rationalism at the moment, I'll get back to gnashing my teeth about politics in a minute.

It won't be artificial meat if they perfect "in vitro" methods. It will be real meat tissue we'll be eating--just tissue that has been "raised" a different way.
