Wisconsin last went R in a presidential election in1984. But it's the state of Joe McCarthy as well as Fighting Bob LaFollette. (does anybody know who Bob LaFollete is anymore, even?) , it's always been a little schizo. And it was hit hard in the Democratic Malaise of 2010. In its current status as a special pet project of the national conservative machine in the Citizens United era, the blueness of Wisconsin is extremely beleaguered at best.
