Sankar/Dale/All: If QNTM bot WD, what would this do? Would it eliminate some of the overcapac? Would it hurt SEG, and clearly signify a 2 horse race at the high-end?

Or would it leave QNTM vulnerable and with lots of debt -- a situation that it just escaped?

And, somewhat separately, what do you think of the hypothesis that a few fringe players (maxtor, Samsung etc) can pierce the price bubble by competing aggressively for market share? Would a WD acquisition help enough by reducing splly, or would it mean that high fixed costs would force QNTM into the same mkt share at any price game?
