Yesterday I visited Micron's showroom and was surprised to see the floor covered with reconditioned and cancelled orders. There was twice what I had seen in the past. It concerned me that there were so many cancelled orders. The prices on these units were very attractive to say the least. I also had the opportinity to play with their 300mhz top of the line model and I must say it was an awesome machine. It had all the bells and whistles and was priced around $2700. A great machine, if you can afford the price and want the best. The showroom was crowded (a good sign) and the salesman said sales were quite brisk. Overall their products are excellent and prices have dropped considerably. If your looking for a great machine at a reasonable price, consider one of their cancelled or reconditioned machines(full warranty included) and you won't go wrong. Lastly, their stock price is a steal at current levels provided you have time to wait for the rebound, which will happen in 6-9 months (my estimation) as earnings improve. Good investing MM

New TV advertising campaign to start after Thanksgiving, it will be more targeted instead of brand identity stuff. Richard

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I think the PC price will continue to fall, and all PC company will be affected. Here in SF bay area I am seeing HP Pavilion 166MMX advertised at 999, monitor included, plus you get 50-75 bonus dollars you can use to buy other stuff. MUEI's later entry to sub1000 market, coupled with their less known name brand, may not bode well for the company on the earnings. The best hope for shareholders is indeed they sell the company at a premium.
