I think we all have common goals, we may choose different means of getting there. We've had a real civilized (WinStar) thread since the day traders slithered back to their swamp (hey, they named it the swamp, not me!). The competition is not WCII vs. Teligent so much as it is upstart vs. incumbent. Both companies will be taking market share from the ILEC's (Incumbent LEC's) not from each other Actually, TGNT has no market share at this point, but they will. I suspect that many long-term WCII holders may become TGNT shareholders as well, but having the benefit of experience, may wait for a more fortuitous moment to make an entry. The market opportunity is huge, the technology is starting to really gain acceptance, but if you're in it for a quick buck, you might be bitterly disappointed (over the short term).

Bob:
As you know, I am one of the WCII thread. I have no special knowledge either. We do have a couple on our thread with more knowledge on the subject. With the exception of the swamp people period, we have had a pretty good thread. We say what we think and nobody burns you for your thoughts.

I am one of those watching TGNT also. After experiencing what we have with WCII, we have gained some knowledge as to what a new company may experience. You can see this because many of us are saying basically the same thing. Without speaking for the others from WCII thread, we are saying TGNT is WCII 2 to 3 years ago. One major difference between the companies, is that our main guy sold hairbrushes and Mandl is from the telecom industry. However, our main guy quickly surrounded himself with expert telecom people from MCI. WCII has a strong management team.

I think that the thoughts of both threads will be mutually beneficial. You are welcome to jump in on our thread just as we entered yours.
