Honestly, that's what all folks who are retired now, including my vehemently anti-socialist father. As it exists today, Social Security is the largest Socialist program in the world. It directly takes money out of the hands of future generations to pay for today's retirees. In addition, since we have an aging population....we're not breeding or growing the immigrant population fast enough....SS is looking more like a Ponzi scheme where today's retirees and the Baby Boomers will get their full share, but every generations thereafter will get less and less of their money back until they eventually get nothing. This is why long ago, I started saying that the problems now are no longer Dem vs GOP, but rather this is a generational conflict. The old people in this country (65+) are not only running this country, but they are looting it and leaving nothing left for future generations. It's a sad and sickening thing they are doing. The Baby Boomers could very well go down in history as the largest and most irresponsible generation in American History. It's amazing that they came right after the Greatest Generation. So we go from the Greatest to the Worst in one generation. What a joke.
