WARSAW, Nov 25 (Reuters) - Polish computer maker Optimus SA (WARSAW:OPTW.S) signed a deal in early November with U.S. based firm Quantum Corp (NASDAQ:QNTM) authorising it to sell computers with Quantum's Bigfoot TX hard-disk, Optimus's deputy head said on Tuesday. "We can now (directly) have the best technology in the world...and we expect this to bring additional profits," Jerzy Stepien told a news conference. Stepien did not give any further details, but Optimus earlier forecast its 1997 net profit to reach 30 million zlotys against 17.1 million last year. Optimus last reported a net profit of 18 million zlotys in the January-October period. 9780, warsaw.newsroom@reuters.com)) Copyright 1997, Reuters News Service

FYI to Buyside (I'd use your initials but didn't want to start a flame war, BS).

Actually, QNTM has been working with MKE for more than 10 years.

Hi Buyside

"I think the last thing QNTM wants to do is start BUILDING drives again"

Well said.
