Well, I think you underestimate the danger. You know I'm no Krugman fan. However, he just penned an op-ed on his thoughts on Greece and Europe, and I think he's hit the nail on the head in this article. Check it out... ------------- Apocalypse Fairly Soon Yes, Merkel and her policies are failing. Germany didn't know when to back off. Greece implemented the austerity measures demanded by Germany and France and progress was being made. Instead of offering a stimulus carrot to help Greece get out from the nadir of its depression, Merkel doubled down........and now she's screwed the pup. And what worries me is that too many Americans think like Germans..........and maybe that's because the largest ethnic minority in this country are Americans of German descent. What ever the case..........all these people can think about is austerity without the balance of stimulus.
