We can listen to God and have fun killing and then say God told us to do it.

"And Moses said to them: "Have you kept all the women alive? Look, these women caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to trespass against the LORD in the incident of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD. Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known a man intimately. But keep alive for yourselves all the young girls who have not known a man intimately."

With gregoree as Chief Advocate for a murdering God your sins are already forgiven.

"Murder is the intentional taking of innocent life. We already saw that the women were not innocent.."

Jewish history records that Alexander Janneus had 800 of his enemies crucified at his palace while forcing them to watch the execution of their wives and children.

This was another warmongering incompetant Jewish King around 80bc & those enemies were also Jews supported by the rival Pharisee camp against the Saducees in a Jewish civil war . Lot of morality floating around over some spats about the trifles of rituals between the two camps , Janneus reported to have killed 6000 of his own tribe earlier . Later the Pharisee rebels enlisted the aid unbelievably of the Seleucid king in their fight against Janneus who was then defeated with this Persian help & had to flee. Later even the rebels decided it was better to be ruled by one of their own Chosen Ones than overlorded by those dam idol worshipping foreigners, so brought him back .

He then crucifies the 800 ...

Lots of morality floating around then over which rituals & when , cost the lives of 50,000 in 6yrs on both the Saducees & Pharisee sides . One can begin to see where all the pacifists started to spring up around that era , dam libral long haired ,commune loving , "love thy neighbor hippies" like Jesus calling for a New Age of Aquarius . ;o)

The essay on morality starts out so convolutedly defeating itself at the beginning with Chosen Ones killing Chosen Ones with the obligatory references & quote mining from arch atheist Dawkins and the antiquated oversimplification of scientfic community's most recent commentary on morality . Why not look to see what scientists are really saying than a few cobbled together paragraphs in this very inadequate attempt to describe today's forum , why not look to see what scientists themsleves are saying?

Richard Dawkin's has more recently changed his views somewhat after influenced by friend Sam Harris's book , it would be efficacious if these writers you copy & paste could really try to stay up to date .

Science of morality

Richard Dawkins had openly stated that science has little to say directly about morality. He has since said, about science of morality as friend and colleague Harris presents it in The Moral Landscape, that it "changed all that for me". [86]

In an online interview, Dawkins reiterated that he believes that Harris makes relevant points, and that, once one defines the moral goal as maximizing the wellbeing of creatures, science has much to say about what is actually morally good. [87]
