Recall the self destruction tactics of the Republicans during last Christmas. It looks like they have embarked on a similar course again which should probably peak around election time. So far, all they have told us is that tax breaks are on the top of their agenda. What they are running away from is that the tax breaks have failed to produce jobs, the very thing that they are accusing Obama of not creating.

I hope Obama points out the prosperity of the Clinton days and the tax levels then along with the jobs created by Clinton. The independents are not idiots and I am sure that a issue based campaign to include this will elevate Obama in their eyes.

Majority leader Boehner believes that some parts of Obamacare are so popular, they should be replicated by a Republican bill, even if the entire bill is scrapped. Those items include keeping children on their parents’ health care until 26, making insurance companies provide coverage to people with pre-existing conditions.

Naturally more conservative staffers on Capitol Hill are flipping out at that idea. Sherman found the dissent on an email-listserv. A former Republican staffer was totally incredulous at the idea that Republicans would replicate parts of Obamacare. He wrote: "House GOP is going to cave after winning an election on full repeal … and before winning the next election to finish the job. Unreal"

The USSC has gone from being our most august body to a partisan back room for the Rs. Its very likely Obamacare will get turned out, and it will be one more nail in the Republican coffin.
