So he narrowed the goals in Afghanistan, and narrowed them again, until he could make the case that America had achieved limited objectives in a war that was, in any traditional sense, unwinnable.




The unwinnable part is true.

If that was and is his view, why did he increase the number of troops and drag it out, and why does he continue to drag it out at a stupendous cost of American blood and treasure that continues today?

Did all those troops die and get maimed so he could make a case he lost an winnable war?
It is always about him isn't it? It is never about America and Americans.

He should have pulled an LBJ…and quit.

It is not too late. He could still do that.
