What would be the trajectory at an 18" distance, would windage be required????

The question is was the shot directly to the front of the chest or into the rib cage from the side. From the side would suggest he could not extend his arm or find space between them as martin was on top and too close.

Whatever the case - it appears to have been a very effective shot.
