Re: flipper

The Chinese government is not ready to stop Ford and GM manufacturing in China yet. There are still many more workers for the foreign auto manufacturers to train and many more car manufacturing secrets to acquire. When Chery, Brilliance and Geely are up to world class standards, then they will put the stops on foreign car manufacturers.

Re: flipper

What about GM products there?
Like the US-made Volt? China said it qualified for generous EV subsidies as long GM donated their intellectual property to a Chinese "partner". GM declined so instead of the subsidies given to other EVs and hybrids the Volt incurs a huge tariff that pushes the price to $78k.
