It's a tough one. They want in on the huge market so they play the game. A huge loss that's coming is aviation. Airbus and Boeing both have factories in China so that they can sell to Chinese airlines. That's the requirement. Now the company that was the joint venture partner ( China Aviation Industries Corporation ) is their competitor.

On the IP front, they are getting better depending, especially if you mean "front" and in something from a stage set. I was in China last week and the vendors that sell movies for 10 yuan are still there except the couple days per year that they are warned to be closed because the police will be checking. Those vendors also sell Microsoft operating systems for about the same price. And since part of our market is companies that import, we have been talking to lots of importers. Funny thing is that these importers are not really interested in talking about their import part of the business. Turns out that most of the imported products are not really imported.
