"Until now, neither side has gone into specifics about settlement options. Cross-licensing would potentially allow both companies to continue making products without any design changes or paying extra royalties. With or without such a deal, both companies are likely to want to settle outside of court to avoid the time and expense of a trial, which could start July 30th if no agreement is reached."

Could also be all the money that was taken out of the stock for Facebook could be coming back to Apple.

Can't say for certain what is the reason but it makes as much sense as anything else I've heard on the Tube today.
