Here too. There has been an ice skating rink and hockey rinks next to an elementary school here for 75 years. Completely maintained and run by a private association. Costs the city and the school nothing. During the ice months it is constantly being used. In the non-ice months it is used as a ball field. Now the school district is taking the land. Need a parking lot. New State regulations require a certain number of parking spaces per student and the schoold doesn't comply. Good by 75 years of tradition.
