I have been waiting for this. It does the wackos no good to shut down coal combustion in the US if we simply export the coal and the inherent CO2. The only question is where the coal that will be burned in the world will come from - not that it will be burned.

The USA is very fortunate to have such vast coal reserves. Not only do they guarantee low cost electricity, but will eventually cap liquid fuel costs via CTL technology in addition to GTL. We can't burn enough coal and as conventional crudes become ever more rare and expensive, CTL will come into its own.
