If the Bank goes under, the taxpayers have foot the bill for the guaranteed deposits.

They are not going under, the loss is about 1 month's profits. Depositor funds are not at risk. And the sky is not falling either.

So you are concerned about the taxpayers money in this case but have not been concerned about taxpayers money when it was recklessly and knowingly thrown away on the Solyndra bets the Obama administration made...sounds inconsistent...again.
