"you conflate your own atheist, material philosophy with science itself" The scientific principles contradicted by the superstitions of the bible had nothing to do with atheism which is merely a lack of belief in God. Atheism does not make those biblical claims (such as a flood covering all the mountains) impossible and obvious superstitions--SCIENCE does. Science tells us that light came from the sun! SCIENCE tells us that insects came before fish! Atheism has no claims to make other than the non belief in God. Science has millions of claims to make regarding what is true and what is real. When you deny a scientific truth in favor of a superstitious claim you ought to at least have the guts to admit you are placing superstition ahead of science! For instance, the bible claims that Egyptian magicians were capable of creating life by magic. Science says it is (so far) impossible to create life and that such a knowledge would have left evidence. Therefore, when you claim that Egyptian magicians DID create life, you are denying Science. Why else do you come to a Science thread and attack Evolution which is universally acknowledged as scientifically proven and taught in every educated community in the world?

SCIENCE: That is a superstition. You can copulate with a blindfold on and it will have no effect on the appearance of your offspring! One of these ideas is very very wrong!! Which one??
