<< I may need information on declaration of personal bankrupcy soon.>>
Sorry to hear that. I've lost a lot, but none of it was margined, it was all in my IRA's. On the downside, I can't take any tax loss, but at least I have many years to recoup my losses. I sold my first covered call today on SUNW. I sold JAN 40's. That's probably a very bullish sign for SUNW since I've been such a good contrarian indicator recently. BTW, we got approval to spend about $250,000.00 where I work for two terabytes of Seagate drives. One little piece of good news for SEGer's.

Jacky,

I too lost a good deal of money on Seagate, with one exception: My shares are held in a IRA account, so I can't even take advantage of the tax loss (My gains are in non-IRA accounts). I always thought that tax-deferred accounts were neat, because you don't have to worry about capital gains till you retire, but I guess there's a downside to that, too.

Happy trading,
Len

PS. Since I don't need the money for a while, I intend to hold on till it recovers. It will.

<<re: personal bankrupcy >>

Jacky: I was sorry to read of your financial loss. I too misjudged the dd sector, especially with SEG. When Seg pre-announced twice in the June qtr, and they didn't pre-announce in the October qtr, I inferred that SEG was starting to bottom out. What a disappointment.

You are very sharp and you did your homework, it is just too bad the dd sector imploded the way it did. It has been really painful for the dd investors.

Anyway, I am going to hang on with qntm. I still occasionally read the WDC and Seg threads though, and in coming across your post, I just wanted to wish you well and I hope the painful dd investment memories start to fade. Dale

All these ANALysts laugh all the way to the bank.. its sickening..
THey upgrade a stock- then dump their shares into the buying.. they downgrade a stock? they go short or start buying at the dirt cheap prices...

I can bet any money that next year this sector will be fine.. all part of their little game... Everything is exaggerated.
