Yes, so long as you ask Christina Roemer or Mark Zandi, I'm sure it did.

But in Jan 2009, U6 was at 14.2 and in April 2012 it was at 14.5.

By the only rational metric, unemployment is worse today than when Obama took office, and it has been higher than that for most of Obama's tenure.
