What can you say but point to the entire body this "transcendent ethic" has only to do with every physical need all along . Point to any part of the creed , the instructions , the laws , sets of values , observances & avoidances all have themselves based in the physical realm . The entire goal is some fantasy of 'Eternal Happiness" which is about as definable as that "knowledge" contained in the fruit that Eve supposedly ate , that not one human has ever figured out what knowledge that was supposed to be . (big mystery that one , they're still working it out) The greatest hypocrisy is that people actually wish to have others believe that they really spend even a minute of their day thinking about the "after life" unless they are some mad prophet , insane , brainwashed or sitting on death row or terminally ill . We may not have free will in any sense what so ever but that doesn't mean that we are in the least diminshed or just playthings of external forces . Part of the greater truth is that we are those living forces ourselves concentrated & directed in patterns whose integrations regularities in us we are just beginning to discern . Want an original source for all life on earth ? Look up in the sky , its right up there burning brightly every day but in no way makes any promise of eternal happiness but should be around for quite awhile which is an eternity enough for us . Good Quote from Uncle Albert Science has therefore been charged with undermining morality, but the charge is unjust. A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hopes of reward after death. ~Albert Einstein
