It occurs to me that the discussion of whether or not SparQ's sales could have a negative impact on Iomega's earnings is pretty much irrelevant. SyQuest needs to start making money if the stock is to do well. It doesn't matter whether Iomega misses estimates.

If SyQuest can sell a lot of SparQ drives, (and SyJets and Quests) and sell them profitably, they will have a chance at completing their turnaround. I realize that's a pretty obvious statement. My point is simply that this isn't a matter of SyQuest vs. Iomega. The real battle is SyQuest vs. the marketplace and the costs of doing business.
