I am a firm believer you need maximum bandwidth in order to execute limit order trades in a timely fashion. I do on average 200 round trips each month. I remember when ISDN lines first came available I was first in line. Since then I have experimented with every scenario out there.

To date I run ESignal Q Charts with Etrade Market Pro on the same computer using five 25" HP2511x monitors. 8 Core AMD processor running WIn 7 I had custom built. It is the only system I have been completed satisfied with and I have spent a fortune over the years getting to this point. This system rocks.

Comcast IP with Clear broadband and Verizon wireless broadband I Phone for back up. All IP's are connected at the same time for additional bandwidth via Netgear router. Over kill , yes but those who trade this market for profit are extremist. That or just very lucky.

Fortunately I have only had to depend on Clear once and even thought it got the job done it was slow. In other words only for emergencies. There is no comparison between you cable and Clear so don't expect much but for a cheap back-up it is worth the money.
