Yea I know the analogy... as I said it depends on how you use the terms... "profit is a very poor term here IMHO... using most definitions. Ecological systems including evolution are being found to be better understood as symbiotic than competitive but under both terms "profit" implies at least one level of abstraction removed from biological evolution. I do agree and like how looking at the economy in biological terms (removing the abstractions) sheds light on ideas like "profit" as well as other economic terms however. "growth" is a good one. JMO DAK
