Similar, I am sure, to the various neighboring tribes in Africa where regular raids were made on neighboring villages to capture women and young men as slaves. These raids involved a lot of killing for killing sake too, it seems.

It even developed over there to the point where the stronger tribes were kidnapping from their weaker, neighboring tribes, and selling the victims to the slave traders, to ship to Europe and then, America.

ManyMoose and I had a conversation with your brother and we both sat patiently while he went into great detail about the criminal actions of Christopher Columbus and his men towards the indigenous people of NA. He went on and on how awful white men were bringing all of their pestulence and disease on purpose so the native populations would die. After letting him go on for a bit longer, I simply said "I don't believe a word your saying" and MM made the comment that more than likely those people were as ruthless if not more so towards others.

Your brother seemed shocked to hear an alternative pov.
