Management controls the company and therefore has neither the need nor the desire to make the company look pretty to investors. It isn't like they will get fired for poor performance.

The only times management of a value trap cares about the stock price are if they want to sell or they want to use the stock as currency in an acquisition.

held to maturity. left at cost on the balance sheet.

doesn't show up on the screens then as you need to go into the filings.

from HGT you can see often people don't read filings.

that being said, i am not even including this value in my analysis.
