if you are refering to china growth...
we knew this already when IDC released their numbers.
it's old news.
the report is indicating that sales are not being affected in oct/nov.

compaq has stated that growth is increasing this quarter. last quarter's growth over previous quarter was way up. so the 1.6% doesn't refer to quarter over quarter, but more likely refers to asian sales. compaq is going into their strongest quarter of the year. their sales in asia were slightly down quarter over quarter, but this was more than offset by strong sales in north america and europe. compaq's mix in asia wasn't appropriate for that region according to their words, but they've changed that. asian sales do not account for much of their overall sales anyway, less than 8%. compaq is the only compaq pushing the sub zero in Asia now which is said to be a "hot" item. i don't see how last quarters sales figures relate to this quarter given compaq's new push in the region with the $1000 pcs.
