Good point, basic science courses teach that "theories" are constantly behind upgraded and revised. That's what some of the "anti-evolutionists" miss... they think when a theory is revised it is a bad thing... Or was "wrong" and is to be tossed out. A bit ignorant of the process. DAK

"Much of our overall knowledge is, in fact, dogmatic ..." "...and awaiting inevitable revision." All reality, whether great or small is awaiting the "more to it" revelations. Even though it is the best utterance we can muster at any particular moment in time, our conscious awareness does not rest with "it seems right." Greater truth is always itching to be revealed. Our understanding of every distinguishable entity and to make further distinctions continues to grow, as every entity continues to grow and evolve (even those we have labeled extinct or obsolete. Higher consciousness is always being nagged in the direction of removing uncertainty as we and our consciousness is involved in the process of evolution. We may have an inkling about anything, where our inquiry is bound to reveal greater understanding and clarity. It helps to engage in esoteric thought processes help to accelerate the process... just as oppression of thought processes stifles the process to some extent. This segways nicely into the topic of 'emergent reality rippling through existence,' which is also under consideration here.
